Nice rural bike route south to the canal today through a scenic landscape of vineyards and chateaus. We returned to the Garonne River after two nights along the Dordogne.
Although we got an early start,
hydrated frequently, and sought out shade for snack breaks, the 97 degree heat and enough hill challenges found us depleted upon arrival.
Cokes and carbonated water were our cravings on arrival and our lovely air-conditioned apartment in the Tilleuls Hotel next to the city hall delighted us. We celebrated our day's accomplishment with a delicious carbs dinner at Pizzeria de l'Horloge, walked through the old bell tower gate to the small, medieval center and strolled around.
